Our Story

The roots of Karachi Chatkhara began with homemade food, family traditions, and a passion for sharing authentic Pakistani cuisine.

Saleem Sattar, a proud Memon from Karachi, Pakistan, would often enjoy homemade meals lovingly prepared by his wife, Zulekha Saleem. As friends, coworkers, and family members tasted her cooking, they quickly fell in love with the authentic flavors, traditional recipes, and warmth that came with every meal. What started around the family dining table soon became a dream shared by the entire family.

With the support of their children, Qiswa Peera, Amna Saleem, and Hamza Saleem, Saleem and Zulekha turned that dream into reality by opening Karachi Chatkhara in Mount Prospect.

Today, Karachi Chatkhara remains a true family-owned restaurant dedicated to serving the authentic flavors of Karachi and Pakistan. Every dish is prepared with the same care, tradition, and hospitality that first brought people together years ago. Our goal is simple: to make every guest feel like part of our family while enjoying food that feels just like home.
